About One Hundred Nights of Taps, Gettysburg, 2025 For the 9th year, beginning on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26, 2025) and running through Labor Day, the notes of “Taps” will once more fill the air every evening as the famous 24-note call is sounded at the Pennsylvania Monument in Gettysburg National Military Park (Location: The monument is located south of Gettysburg, on Hancock Avenue at Pleasonton Avenue, which is also a stop on the Gettysburg Battlefield Tour (Tour #12). The Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania sponsors One Hundred Nights of Taps, Gettysburg in partnership with Gettysburg National Military Park, Taps for Veterans, Gettysburg’s Licensed Battlefield Guides, and Eisenhower National Historic Site. The program runs nightly at 7 P. M. During the formal Taps program at 7 P. M. representatives from the Lincoln Fellowship and guest Licensed Battlefield Guides offer brief historical vignettes. Called Enduring Pathways, these focus on Abraham Lincoln, the Gettysburg Address, the history of Taps, and the Soldiers’ National Monument, with topics changing nightly. The volunteer buglers include active-duty military musicians, military veterans, Civil War living historians and musicians, community band members, high school and college students, and music teachers.
